It took a while for him to become a millionaire, but the curve has become steep now marching towards the club of billionaires. His vast number of digital & knowledge assets, intellectual & virtual properties valuation may reach trillions. But his simple attire, humble manners & frugal lifestyle doesn’t easily give away this fact. Though he is frugal in spending on himself, he donates substantial part of his income to charity. He also actively supports various causes which are not only feeding the needy but also uplifting them. He makes sure that almost every penny donated reaches to grass root level.
We asked, in spite of doing these activities, why he is never in the news or limelight comparing conventional philanthropists & social workers. He says he believes in ancient Indian proverb “left hand should not know what right hand is donating”. It means giving away should always be done secretly, never for publicity or whitewashing. The second reason is that I am an AI technologist & entrepreneur, people should me know for my contribution & service in the same field, not others. When asked what he considers his greatest achievement, he said, affecting millions of lives through AI technology & inspiring many more persons to strive for better in life, is the best asset compared to material or intellectual wealth.
Though having humble background & considered average in abilities, he strived for success for life, overcoming personal & professional setbacks and other adversities . He stresses the fact, that you have to define what success means for yourself first & not conform to conventional definition of success, like fame & money, if you won't be really successful. Otherwise, you will be chasing a mirage. When asked what is his advice for others, he said the journey starts from/within yourself. Understand who you are, what you want we become. To understand what you are, be alone, be still & observ your thoughts. Then sow seeds of good, positive thoughts that will take you there. This is most important step, because you are, what you think. You become what you think. Tools & techniques like meditation/mindfulness/metacognition/self enquiry/introspection should be used for this.
